About Dr. John T. Savage
Dr. John Savage is a podiatric physician and surgeon serving patients throughout Aurora and the greater Denver metropolitan area. He welcomes patients of all ages and is dedicated to providing individualized care for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. Dr. Savage believes that every patient’s situation is unique and works closely with each individual to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to their goals and lifestyle. His approach encompasses both conservative therapies and advanced surgical options, ensuring patients receive the most appropriate care for their condition.
A Colorado native, Dr. Savage was born and raised in Littleton. He earned his bachelor's degree in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder before completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He then returned to Colorado to complete his residency training in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Highlands/Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver. During residency, Dr. Savage received extensive surgical training and performed nearly 2,000 procedures, including forefoot surgery, complex rearfoot and ankle reconstruction, trauma management, diabetic limb salvage, treatment of advanced infections, elective procedures, and urgent/emergent surgical care. This broad experience allows him to provide comprehensive treatment for both routine and complex foot and ankle conditions.
His clinical interests include diabetic foot care, sports medicine, trauma, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, and total ankle replacement. He is credentialed at The Medical Center of Aurora and Centennial Hospital and maintains surgical privileges at several outpatient surgery centers, including Centrum Surgery Center, OCC Surgery Center and Mile High SurgiCenter.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Savage enjoys spending time with his fiancée, family, and friends. An avid outdoorsman and fitness enthusiast, he enjoys golf, skiing, hiking, and staying active year-round. He is also a lifelong Colorado sports fan.
